In total, Elecnor has provided upwards of 730,000 hours in safety training and 145,000 hours specifically in technological areas with more than 600,000 participants.

Grupo Elecnor has invested more than 46 million euros over the past year to strengthen accident prevention, which will help improve the safety and health of its workers and all individuals involved in its operations. The company's goal is to achieve what they call "zero accidents". The results from the past fiscal year regarding worker safety and health were the second best in the group's historical series, with a frequency index of 2.0. The commitment to preventing workplace accidents is an absolute priority for Elecnor, which in 2024 utilized the services of 472 specialized technicians and 93 healthcare professionals to care for its workforce in over 40 countries. Furthermore, they have trained more than 2,900 workers through their 'Control your risks' awareness program.

"Training is the foundation of solid prevention, and therefore, we have delivered 736,800 hours in safety and health, as well as 145,500 hours in technological matters with over 600,000 attendees," explains the CEO of Grupo Elecnor, Alberto García de los Ángeles, who adds: "Despite the good results, we are not entirely satisfied and will continue to work hard to further improve the indices. Our goal is zero accidents, and we will achieve this with the utmost solvency in accident prevention."

In Grupo Elecnor, 346,100 Principal Risk Permits (PRPs), 95,050 safety inspections, 79,600 corrective measures, and 680 internal site audits were carried out throughout 2024 to intensify and optimize the control of working conditions in the field.

This effort has been reinforced by an upward trend in investment in safety, which continues in 2025 with new financial allocations aimed at consolidating the zero accident objective and further strengthening the preventive culture across all Group operations.

Innovation to Improve Safety and Health

Grupo Elecnor is committed to Innovation as a key tool to improve the Safety and Health conditions of its workers, as well as in accident prevention. Through digital transformation, they streamline processes and reduce bureaucratic impact and paperwork. They continue to develop their own Artificial Intelligence and Big Data project for analyzing millions of data points from SegurT, PRPs, and Notific@, as well as Virtual Reality to improve local operator training.

"At Elecnor, we have the most advanced systems to improve the company's Safety and Health areas. However, we also conceive it as a task for everyone, where all ideas count towards achieving our zero accident goal, which is why we have collected over 1,020 improvement ideas proposed by our own workers, whose personal experiences represent immeasurable value," explains Alberto García de los Ángeles.

Grupo Elecnor has conducted over 16,000 awareness meetings throughout the past year, as well as sending weekly safety contacts to more than 18,000 employees for use in all meetings and training sessions.
