Workplace safety is a priority for the Group and is integrated transversally into its activity, with the aim of guaranteeing the protection of all people involved in its projects and services.

Grupo Elecnor has invested more than 62.6 million euros during 2025 in occupational risk prevention actions, an increase of more than 36% compared to the 46 million euros allocated in 2024. Workplace safety is one of the Group's fundamental pillars and reflects its commitment to protecting its workers and all individuals involved in its projects and services. During the Month of Safety and Health at Work, the company reinforces its objective of achieving "zero accidents," relying on a strategy of continuous improvement with an increase in resources year after year.

This investment effort has allowed the company to reduce the number of workplace accidents, achieving a frequency rate – which measures the number of accidents per million hours worked – of 1.9, the second-best figure in its history.

These results have been possible thanks to a commitment to innovation as a cross-cutting element in the Group's Safety and Health strategy. The integration of technologies such as digital transformation, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, and Virtual Reality allows not only to optimize processes but also to anticipate risks, improve decision-making, and reinforce worker training in increasingly demanding environments.

In parallel, worker involvement has been consolidated as one of the key pillars of the preventive model. Throughout 2025, Group professionals have contributed more than 1,000 improvement ideas, highlighting their knowledge of real risks in the work environment. Likewise, Elecnor has strengthened its resources, reaching a team of 600 safety and health technicians and 90 healthcare professionals, with a presence in more than 40 countries.

"Safety is an inalienable value: it is not negotiated or relativized. The decision of a trained person is irreplaceable. Therefore, in 2026 we are launching the 'Prevention Improvement' project, which will extend until 2027 to strengthen our model and create safer work environments," states Alberto García de los Ángeles, CEO of Grupo Elecnor.

Training and control of working conditions

As a fundamental part of this model, the company has developed intense training activities, exceeding 958,000 hours in safety and health, reaching 200,000 more attendees than last year, with nearly 887,000 sessions for workers. In addition, more than 160,000 hours have been dedicated to technological areas, aimed at reinforcing safety in increasingly complex work environments. Furthermore, awareness continues to gain importance through initiatives such as "Control your risks" with 2,500 participants and the celebration of more than 18,900 on-site meetings reinforcing a preventive culture throughout the organization.

The reinforcement of working condition control mechanisms has also been key, with more than 366,000 main risk permits (PRPs), 113,000 safety inspections, 529 internal audits, and more than 102,000 corrective measures implemented, thus reinforcing supervision and continuous improvement mechanisms in all its operations.

Commitment to Safety and Health at Work

Within the framework of the World Day for Safety and Health at Work, celebrated on April 28, Elecnor promoted various internal awareness and dissemination initiatives aimed at reinforcing the preventive culture throughout the organization. Among these actions, the internal event stood out, where the progress in prevention matters of the new Safety and Health campaign was presented, focusing on the importance of decision-making in risky environments. Under the message "Your decision can cost lives. Think before you make it.", the initiative focuses on invisible risks and shared responsibility throughout the chain of command.
